TMJD / JAW RELATED CARE

Jaw tension and discomfort can be influenced by many soft-tissue factors throughout the face, neck, shoulders, and upper body. Massage therapy may be used to help reduce muscle tension, improve comfort, and support movement where appropriate.

Care focuses on soft-tissue assessment and hands-on treatment — and always works alongside (not in place of) dental or medical care.

Do you treat TMJ or TMD?

Massage therapy may help address muscle tightness and soft-tissue contributors related to jaw discomfort, tension, and movement restriction.

While massage therapy does not diagnose conditions or replace medical or dental care, it can be a supportive part of managing jaw-related strain.

Is intra-oral work required?

No — intra-oral techniques are always optional.

When used, they are only provided with clear, written consent. Many people experience benefit from external approaches alone, which are always available.

Is intra-oral work painful?

Everyone’s comfort level is different.

All techniques are gently adjusted based on your feedback, comfort, and tolerance — and can be paused or stopped at any time.

Can this replace dental or orthodontic care?

Massage therapy works alongside dental and medical care but does not replace diagnosis or treatment from dentists, orthodontists, or physicians.
