SCOPE & SAFETY

What does “treatment-focused massage therapy” mean?

Treatment-focused massage therapy centres on careful assessment and hands-on care of soft tissues and related structures within the scope of Registered Massage Therapy.

Each session is guided by your goals, comfort, and how your body responds on that day. While massage therapy does not involve medical diagnosis or guaranteed outcomes, it supports mobility, comfort, and overall physical function.

Do you diagnose conditions like TMJD or concussion?

No — Registered Massage Therapists do not diagnose medical conditions.

Care is based on your health history, assessment findings, and informed consent, and is designed to support your body within the professional scope of massage therapy.

Can I stop or change the treatment at any time?

Absolutely.

Your comfort and consent guide every session. You’re always welcome to ask for changes, take breaks, or stop treatment at any point — for any reason.

What if my symptoms change before my appointment?

If anything changes with your health, simply update your intake forms or let your therapist know before your session begins.

Your care plan can be adjusted — or postponed if needed — to ensure treatment remains safe and appropriate.
